How long does it take to sequence and analyze a DNA sample?
Processing can take up to 6 weeks. Patients can check the status of their MY DNA kit in their nbresults.com Dashboard under the “My Reports” section. When processing is complete and their report has been generated, the status will be replaced with a link to view their report.
What should I do if my patient's MY DNA kit has been in "Processing" status for more than 6 weeks?
In rare circumstances, unforeseeable factors such as delays in shipping or delays in sequencing and analyzing DNA samples at the lab may cause processing timeframes of more than 6 weeks.
If your patient’s MY DNA kit has been in “Processing” status for more than 6 weeks and a report has not yet been generated, please contact your Sales Representative with the kit barcode so that we can look into what has caused the delay and provide you with an update.

Yes. Our security protocols require users to be logged into an account on nbresults.com in order to view a shared MY DNA report. MY DNA reports are only viewable after the data has been uploaded to nbresults.com and compiled into a readable report.
What does High/Medium/Low/Superpower mean?
In the MY DNA report, the risk impact associated with each SNP is calculated based on the latest available peer reviewed studies and then taken into account to determine the priority of each trait based on your unique genome. This ranking is displayed on your report for each trait/condition as High, Medium, Low or Superpower to help you determine which traits are of highest priority to support immediately and which traits may act as your personal “superpowers”.
The traits listed as high priority are things that you want to pay the most attention to as these are the traits your genetics put you at highest risk for developing symptoms or being affected by. This information not only helps you determine where your highest priority of care lies, it can also help you build your own personalized supplement protocol based on your DNA. If a high priority ranking for a specific trait is concerning to you, seeking further testing through a medical professional to determine the status of the condition is strongly advised.
How are product recommendations determined based on my patient's unique DNA?
Product recommendations are determined based on the aggregated data for each trait’s priority status contained in the patient’s MY DNA report and are weighted based on importance and potential impact such that the products that are expected to have the most impact for your patient are listed first. You can then create protocols for your patient based on the immediate as well as longer-term maintenance needs of your patient.
